How do I use the online store?

Shopping with us is easy. We have designed our site to be as simple as possible, and hope you find it so. To begin shopping with us, click on the "Products" tag above, and from there you can find your ideal item in a number of ways.

The quickest is by using the search tool at the top of the page, just type in the brand, type or model number of the item you are looking for and click the 'search' button

You can also browse all the items we have on the site by "manufacturer" or "product category". You will find these on the left of your screen

Once you have found the item you are looking for, you can click on the image for more details about it. If you would like to buy the item, click 'Add to basket' once you are on the product detail page and the product will be sent to your shopping basket on the right of your screen. You can add as many items as you like to your basket by repeating these steps.

When have finished shopping and would like to complete your purchase, click on the 'checkout' button on the top of your screen or on the basket total. This will take you to a check-out screen. Confirm that you would like the items in your basket, change quantity if you wish or remove products from your basket, and click go to checkout. Your order value will be confirmed again, and on the next screen you will be asked for you address and payment information. Once you complete this page and press the complete order button, you order is sent to us. You will receive an e-mail confirming the purchase you have made. It's as simple as that!

Are my credit card details safe with electricsales.co.uk?

At electricsales.co.uk we take your security very seriously. We use the strongest available 128 bit encryption technology to keep your details safe. Our secure servers are monitored 24 hours a day, 7 days a week to ensure that our systems and data are not compromised. That's why shopping with us can be safer than shopping on the high street!

How long will it take to receive my order?

If you are one if our customers in the UK, you can expect to receive your order within three working days of placing your order. Most items are sent by our carriage partner 'HomeServe' and will need to be signed for.

Can I track my order?

We are currently working on a way to allow you to do this, however we regret that we cannot provide this service over the web at the moment. If you would like to know the status of your order, simply e-mail us at info.request@electricsales.co.uk with your order number. We will try to get back to you within 12 hours.

How much does delivery cost, and How do I add it?

electricsales.co.uk offers all of our customers in the UK free delivery on all orders! Free delivery only applies to new orders, re-delivery of an item or delivery of items sent to our repairs and service division do not qualify for free UK delivery.

What is the electricsales.co.uk returns policy, and how can I return an item?

The electricsales.co.uk returns and refunds policy is in accordance with the EU distance selling directive which outlines your rights to cancel your order. If you are unhappy with your purchase from us we will of course offer you a refund as long as your item is sent back in an unused and unopened condition. For reasons of hygiene, we will not be able to accept or refund any items from our personal hygiene/care or food preparation lines that have been used. If any item is damaged we will replace it free of charge for you.

If you do decide to return your item, you will need to contact customer services quoting your receipt number before you send back your item. We will then issue you with a returns authorisation and advise you of the returns address for your item. Once we have received your item in our returns processing department you will be issued with a refund or an exchange where appropriate. Please note however, that as we do not charge for delivery on UK purchases, a delivery cost recovery fee will be deducted from your refund; this is in accordance with EU law. Refunds for damaged items will not be charged this fee if a replacement is issued.

Do you stock spare parts?

electricsales.co.uk has teamed up with ELCO to be able to supply spare parts for many manufacturers. If you would like spares or repair information for brands like Kenwood, Moulinex, Hoover, Prima, Phillips and many other leading brands, try calling ELCO on 08704030248.

How do you use the details I provide you? Will you sell them on?

Any information you provide us with is used only to fulfil your order and for electricsales.co.uk's sole marketing purposes. Your phone number may be given to the delivery agent to help expedite your delivery. However, we will never pass on any of your details to another organisation that does not directly deal with your purchase from us or sell them on. You value your privacy - we do too.

My basket always shows as empty when I click 'proceed to checkout'. Why is this?

Our store's systems need to place a small amount of data on your computer to identify you as a customer and to 'remember' your selected items. This data packet is called a 'cookie'. If your browser is set to high privacy settings, or to disallow cookies, the shopping basket feature will not work.
